Denoising on CPU
I saw in the blender documentation, that the denoising feature is also done on the GPU. Wouldn't it be nice to use the GPU for rendering only and doing the denoising stuff parallel on the CPU?

That process may actually take *longer* because the data needs to be transferred off of the GPU’s memory into system memory where the CPU can work with it. There are some parallelization tricks that might be worth trying, but generally speaking, if you have data already in memory, it’s usually faster to process it where it sits. Of course, with writing the code and testing, it's difficult to know for sure.
